AllJesus added a new photo Do not become so perfected in the world that you lose sight of the perfecting of yourself in the kingdom. I recently read that prior to the COVID-19 public health crisis 23% of Americans who worked were burnt out. Now those who have to work in and around this pandemic have a much greater level of stress. They must take up greater responsibility for those who are no longer completing their tasks and there is a permeating mindset in businesses that whatever is completed must be done to perfection regardless of who might be crushed or downtroddened in the process. In this time the enemy may be trying to distract or discourage you from seeking after the Kingdom of God first and pleasing man second. Let us be reminded of what Paul says should be our #1 focus, in Philippians 3:14 "I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus." Today, let us do a self assessment of how we have been treating those who we work for and those who we have been given charge over; have I completed all tasks set before me with the love of Jesus to be the outcome? Have I minded the hearts of my neighbors even at the costs of perfecting my business? Lastly, whatever we do let us do it all for the glory of our Lord knowing that He will preserve us through all our trials. Take note of what Jesus says in Matthew 11:28-30 "Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.” May your mind, body and soul be in the rest afforded to you in Christ Jesus through the shedding of His blood on the cross.
